They built this building at 543 W 2nd Street with a grocery store below and a gathering space above. That second floor—where The Electric Loft stands today—quickly became apart of the heartbeat of downtown Pomona.

Electric Loft is owned by Pro Hurd, who Started the venue in 2018 and launched it in partnership with Kevin Cossey. Pro is a Pomona-based business owner committed to building community thought art, space and creativity.
The building at 543 W 2nd Street was built in 1896 by the Pomona Cooperative Association as a grocery store with a community gathering space above. That second floor where Electric Loft stands today, has been part of downtown Pomona's heartbeat for more than a century.
The name comes from M&M Electric, the company whose iconic neon sign still anchors the building's exterior. To carry that energy upstairs, we installed 19 color-changing Philips Hue bulbs throughout the loft so hosts can shift the room's mood at any moment. Over the years, guests started describing their events at the loft as "Electrifying" — and the name took on a second life.
Yes. Electric Loft is independently owned by Pro Hurd and operated by a small local team. We're not part of a chain, hospitality group, or franchise, every booking is handled by people who actually live and work in this community.

Electric Loft sits in the heart of Downtown Pomona's Arts Colony, steps from dA Center for the Arts, indie galleries, and Antique Row. We're directly in the path of Pomona's Second Saturdays Art Walk and see ourselves as active participants in the Arts Colony not just tenants in it.
